Our community is set amid a breathtaking backdrop of gorgeous lakes and majestic mountains that dazzle the eye and excite the adventurer's spirit. But even if you're not looking for heart pounding adventure, you'll find unique shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities here in a town that can only be called one of Colorado's best kept secrets.

Winter Park Resort

The world-class Winter Park Mountain Resort is, not surprisingly, our town's largest attraction. Being nestled in a unique geographical position along the continental divide ensures that Winter Park has some of the most dependable snow conditions in the country, attracting discerning skiers and snowboarders from around the world. The resort features over 3,000 acres of ski terrain, 25 lifts, 5 terrain parks and a charming new village area with a vibrant mix of restaurants and shops. During the summer, enjoy the state’s longest alpine slide, chairlift rides, miniature golf, a climbing wall plus a variety of other attractions.

Mountain Biking

Despite its name, Winter Park is one of Colorado's top destinations for summertime recreation. Once the warm weather hits, the mountain bikes get rolling as cyclists flock to Winter Park's scenic and diverse network of trails. Known as Mountain Bike Capital, USA, Winter Park is an ideal destination for both the novice and the seasoned pro, both of whom can find their niche among over 600 miles of trails.

Other Winter & Summer Activities

Grand County offers a wide variety of activities, regardless of the season. Choose from snowshoeing, snowmobiling or ice skating in the winter, or maybe you’d prefer golfing at one of the 18 hole golf courses, fishing area gold medal waters or hiking trails in the National Parks in the summer. Whether your pleasure is active or passive, this is the place to find your passion!

Shopping, Dining and Events

Winter Park is serious about the culinary arts. You'll find over 60 restaurants and bars in our town, offering everything from fine dining to takeout, with an emphasis on quality cuisine and charming alpine ambience. Our town is also a fantastic place to shop (for more than just souvenirs). You won't have to stroll more than a few blocks from our Winter Park hotel to find unique clothing, gifts and accessories at one-of-a-kind, locally-owned boutiques. There are always exciting events happening, both on and off the mountain, so be sure to consult the town's calendar of events when planning your trip.
